Retro soundtrack music from Indonesia. White Shoes & The Couples Company plays the kind of band that is best described as lounge lizard resort background music. Cheesy and unobtrusive, this is the soundtrack for a major hangover. A whiff of jazz, some bossa nova, and other genres that are popular with the expat bunch.
About half of the tracks are sung in Bahasa Indonesia, a language that a very small minority of the HCTF readership can understand. No biggie, most of it about sunsets, Sundays and being in love or love sick. Their self-titled debut has thirteen tracks and you can hit repeat as often as you like to try to find something new and come up empty-handed.
