The Bacon Brothers: New Year's Day

Uh oh. An actor who is going to sing. Rest assured Kevin Bacon, the actor, is an above average singer, and his big brother Michael Bacon is a professional musician. Naming themselves The Bacon Brothers they started playing together about 11 years ago and New Year's Day is their sixth album. These guys are serious about their music and playing live. Kevin is quoted on the band's website: “We’ve been chipping away at that awareness, chipping away at the fact that most people think we’re gonna suck".

They don't. Mind you, they are not great either. They write funky classic rock styled songs that have done thousands of times, but does it matter? New Year's Day album brings back the bacon. It might taste a bit old-fashioned, but it was obviously made with a lot of fun.

The Bacon Brothers:
Michael Bacon: vocals, guitar, cello
Kevin Bacon: vocals, guitar, harmonica, percussion
Paul Guzzone: bass/vocals
Charlie Giordano: keys
Frank Vilardi: drums
Ira Siegel: electric guitar
