Urge Overkill joins forces with Groupees for a 72 hours campaign for Rock&Roll Submarine, their first studio album in 15 years:

Urge Overkill is back. After a 15-year hiatus, the Chicago alternative legends known for their Pulp Fiction Soundtrack contribution 'Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon', have recorded a brand new studio album and are offering a unique 72-hour sale on new flash sale platform Groupees. 'Rock&Roll Submarine' reaches back to the band's raw early material and is already being widely praised; note Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins' recent tweet: "sounds fucking great! Good that they are back, great band".

Groupees, an innovative new service featuring digital media content from exciting independent artists, will be launching this next promotion for Urge Overkill's latest effort on it's release date, Tuesday, May 10th at 9:00am PST. The 'Rock&Roll Submarine Groupee' offers the new album priced at Pay What You Want ($2 min, $7 suggested) at http://bit.ly/urgeovr with 10% of donations going to MusiCares. We've set our goal modestly, and if we hit $5,000,everyone participating will get Urge Overkill Live at The Troubadour in LA! At the close of the campaign, the #1 Top Donor will receive an exclusive autographed vinyl copy of the album.
