Yuval Ron: Somewhere in This Universe, Somebody Hits a Drum

German progressive guitarist Yuval Ron reaches for the sky on his new album Somewhere in This Universe, Somebody Hits a Drum. And that somebody is none other than fellow German, drumming maestro Marco Minnemann. Ron is fluid, but not smooth. His compositions are filled with just enough unexpected twists and turns to keep the listeners full attention.

With a tone that harks back to the Eighties he has constructed a concept album that touches base with hard rock (WiFi in Emerald City) and Red-era King Crimson (Gravitational Lensing). He has been looking up to the skies and his captured wonder in six lengthy movements, including the superb The Discovery of Phoebe, a tribute to Allan Holdsworth.

Yuval Ron: electric guitar, vocals
Matt Paull: keyboards
Roberto Badoglio: bass
Marco Minnemann: drums
