Rat Fancy: Stay Cool

LA indie band Rat Fancy touch base with a handful of first world problems (and some real ones) on their debut full-length Stay Cool. It sucks staring at a tattoo that is a reminder of an ill-fated love affair (Stuck With You) and there eis the hassle of picking the right kind of clothes and attitude or be ousted from the circle of fashionable friends. Thankfully all of it presented with tongue-in-cheek lyrics, embedded in glorious rambling garage rock.

They can tell short story within the space of a couple of minutes and they could have picked any of the tracks as a single. If you are looking for something to play after spinning The Breeders or The Slits, Stay Cool should be near the top of the list.

Rat Fancy:
Diana Barraza: vocals, guitar
Gregory Johnson: guitar, bass, drums, keys
Dan Fernandez: bass
Matt Sturgis: drums
